Our physical therapist, Abby De Angelis, PT DPT has a doctorate of Physical Therapy and focuses on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and helping patients return to exercise, sports and a high quality of life. She is also an Advanced Hip Clinician and a Pelvic Floor physical therapist, offering specialized care for women at all stages of life in our Morristown office.
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
Every stage of a woman’s life brings changes to the body, and pelvic floor physical therapy can offer meaningful support along the way. Whether you’re managing the discomfort of endometriosis, navigating fertility challenges, preparing for birth, or healing postpartum, specialized care can make a difference in how you feel and function. Pelvic floor therapy can also ease concerns like leaking, pain, or tension that may arise during perimenopause and menopause. By gently restoring balance, strength, and coordination, therapy helps women feel more comfortable, confident, and connected to their bodies through every chapter of their reproductive health.
Many athletes are surprised to learn that recurring pain and limitations in their training may actually be linked to the pelvic floor. Issues such as hip or lower back pain, core instability, or even leaking with high-impact movements can stem from dysfunction in this often-overlooked muscle group. For runners, CrossFit enthusiasts, and other active individuals, pelvic floor physical therapy can restore flexibility, improve strength and muscle coordination, and address the root cause of discomfort—allowing athletes to move with confidence, prevent injury, and perform at their best.
